
With over 45 years of experience, Sanjay Gupta has built a distinguished career across both government and private sectors. Beginning in private firms (1980–1984), he sharpened his expertise in accounts and marketing before joining the Government of India through UPSC in 1984. His tenure at the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) from 1990 onwards saw him take on pivotal roles, including Zonal Revenue Officer, where he managed billing for 150,000 water connections and liaised with high-profile consumers, including VVIPs. As Public Relations Officer, he worked directly under the Chief Minister of Delhi, overseeing administrative and communication strategies. He later held senior positions such as Deputy Director Revenue, Assistant Director (Technical & Administration), and Secretary to the CEO for 14 years, where he played a key role in institutional projects, including a World Bank-funded study.
After retiring from DJB, he transitioned into senior consultancy roles at Max General Insurance, KCC, and Ajex Turner Pvt. Ltd. before joining the Ministry of AYUSH as a Senior Consultant. He has also delivered over 100 lectures on administration, vigilance, and artificial intelligence, demonstrating his passion for lifelong learning.
